- The Service Transition Specialist for IT Processes & Quality plays a crucial role in facilitating the execution, monitoring, and ongoing enhancement of the service transition process. This position collaborates closely with the Service Transition Manager, team leads, and various stakeholders to ensure operational excellence, compliance with standards, and the successful achievement of process and quality objectives.
- 1. Process Execution & Monitoring:
- Facilitate alignment of service transition process dependencies, requirements, and communication needs.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of service transition activities (including Release and Test Management).
- Support the realization of service readiness and the achievement of transition milestones.
- 2. Documentation & Reporting:
- Ensure accurate and current documentation of service transitions and monitor execution (e.g., release documentation and transition dashboard).
- Generate performance reports on transition outcomes.
- Help prepare materials for internal reviews and comprehensive project overviews.
- 3. Quality Assurance Support:
- Assist with executing quality assurance checks and reviews (Approval Board, Release Management Board).
- Document and track quality issues, collaborating with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Support training initiatives to foster adherence to quality standards.
- 4. Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor improvement initiatives across the organization to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Collect feedback from stakeholders to pinpoint opportunities for process optimization.
- Assist in the implementation of process changes and quality enhancements.
