Qualifications
Responsibilities:Implement control-plane and data-plane features for effective packet processing and network performance. Collaborate with the Software Tech Lead to define system architecture, design patterns, and implementation strategies. Enhance firmware to achieve low-latency, high-throughput, and reliable operation across diverse networking environments. Work alongside internal hardware and software teams to integrate various services for embedded networking systems. Create and maintain secure, efficient, and well-documented APIs for internal and external use. Improve logging, monitoring, and debugging capabilities to enhance system observability and troubleshooting. Engage in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives to uphold software quality. Ensure adherence to networking security standards and best practices. Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and system validation efforts to guarantee firmware stability. Key Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience in Wi-Fi Access Point development. Proficiency in Wi-Fi, 802.11, WLAN, and BLE protocols and chipsets. In-depth knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols. Strong programming skills in C, with additional experience in shell scripting (Go, Rust, or Zig is a plus). Familiarity with OpenWRT and other open-source networking firmware is highly desirable.
