Qualifications

Candidates should be pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and a keen interest in spacecraft systems are essential.

About the job

Oligo is pioneering a revolutionary manufacturing-in-the-loop foundation model aimed at automating spacecraft design and production on a global scale. Our innovative approach empowers clients to concentrate on their technology and mission goals, while we take care of all aspects from design and manufacturing to launch and operations. Our expert team, comprising alumni from MIT, Harvard, and NASA JPL, utilizes cutting-edge AI-driven generative design and automated manufacturing to produce advanced payload-specific spacecraft in mere weeks rather than months.

With distinguished advisors on our board and new funding from leading investors like Lux Capital, we are constantly seeking talented builders, quick learners, and ambitious engineers. Whether your interests lie in spacecraft systems, avionics, ML/AI, or advanced manufacturing, you will work collaboratively across various disciplines on real missions that operate in orbit and scale internationally.

We unite top-tier AI/ML experts with leading satellite engineers in a dynamic environment, reimagining how space systems are constructed from the ground up. We embrace innovation and reject bureaucracy and outdated thinking.

If you believe you would be a great fit, we are eager to meet you.

Your Responsibilities

As a Spacecraft Engineering Intern, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience alongside our team, focusing on the design, integration, and testing of spacecraft systems. Your collaboration with mechanical and electrical engineers will help bridge subsystems to achieve overall mission success. Throughout your internship, you may:

  • Lead and support the design of spacecraft mechanical and electrical subsystems (structures, harnessing, avionics integration, and thermal management).

  • Assist in the creation of interface diagrams, cable routing layouts, and system documentation.

  • Help select and organize hardware components such as connectors, fasteners, and circuit boards.

  • Participate in assembly, integration, and testing activities, including environmental test campaigns.

  • Collaborate with engineers from diverse disciplines (GNC, power, software, mission design) to ensure seamless integration of spacecraft components.

  • Contribute to design reviews by preparing documentation and presentations.

About Oligo

Oligo is at the forefront of the aerospace industry, dedicated to transforming how spacecraft are designed and manufactured. Our commitment to innovation and excellence enables us to support missions that push the boundaries of space exploration.
