Job Description:
The System & Network Administrator will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure for various client environments. This position requires technical expertise in system and network administration to ensure the efficient operation and security of both on-premises and cloud-based systems. The administrator will handle a diverse array of systems, including networking equipment, servers, firewalls, virtualization technologies, and cloud services, providing thorough support to ensure business continuity and peak performance.
The ideal candidate will have substantial hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, and various firewall technologies, alongside a robust understanding of virtualization platforms like VMWare. Familiarity with remote access tools, monitoring platforms, and ticketing systems is essential. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-client environment are critical.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network and System Administration:
- Administer and maintain client network infrastructures, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies from vendors such as Cisco, SonicWall, Palo Alto, Juniper, F5, HP, and Aruba.
- Manage and maintain server environments, both on-premises and in the cloud, using Windows Server (2008-2022) and virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V.
- Support and administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure environments, including user management, group policies, and cloud-based services.
- Implement and maintain firewalls and VPN solutions such as Cisco AnyConnect, Meraki, SonicWall, and Fortinet to ensure secure remote access and data protection.
- Security and Compliance:
- Monitor, configure, and manage security protocols, including intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, and anti-virus solutions.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and patch management to ensure adherence to security best practices.
- Collaborate with clients to create and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for system, network, and application issues.
- Utilize remote management tools to assist clients effectively.
