Responsibilities
- Perform thorough vulnerability analysis and remediation across diverse applications, operating systems, hardware, and environments.
- Collaborate with the Security Team to conduct risk assessments and prioritize vulnerabilities.
- Design and implement automated solutions to facilitate the deployment of remediations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective remediation implementation.
- Monitor the progress of deployments, analyze results, and refine methods to tackle failures and false positives.
- Assist in enforcing security standards including NIST 800-171, CMMC, and FedRAMP.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to management, colleagues, and peers.
- Contribute to general system administration tasks.
- Participate in a rotational on-call schedule to support critical business clients during emergencies.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in troubleshooting and remediating Windows (Desktop & Server), Linux, and MacOS.
- Proficient in one or more scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell.
- Strong presentation abilities for both in-person and virtual settings (Teams/Zoom).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in preparing technical documentation including procedures, policies, and proposals.
- A willingness to adapt and continuously learn as vulnerabilities evolve.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
Recommended Qualifications
- Experience in hardware maintenance (Dell, Cisco, NetApp, etc.).
- Familiarity with ServiceNow for task management, working with CMDB/CI’s, and generating reports and dashboards.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management tools such as Tenable, Prisma Cloud, and Security Scorecard.
- Engagement with recognized security standards like CIS, STIG, NIST 800-53, and CMMC.
