This role centers on leading programs that advance the systems behind model development and serving, directly supporting rapid iteration and improved AI experiences for millions of users. The position involves working closely with engineering, research, and product teams to shape infrastructure strategies, coordinate project plans, and deliver on initiatives in training, evaluation, and inference.
The Technical Program Manager role calls for someone who excels in technically complex environments, brings organization to ambiguous challenges, and can build consensus across different teams. Much of the work happens at the intersection of research and production, requiring careful navigation of trade-offs among speed, quality, and reliability. Success relies on influencing without formal authority, anticipating risks, and maintaining momentum on interconnected projects.
What you will do
- Lead the planning and execution of major AI infrastructure projects, including training pipelines, data systems, model evaluation, and inference or serving workflows.
- Establish frameworks to keep teams aligned on scope, objectives, requirements, timelines, risks, and success metrics.
- Collaborate with engineering, research, and product groups to translate model and product needs into clear infrastructure roadmaps and priorities.
- Promote accountability and clear communication among teams responsible for related systems.
- Monitor infrastructure metrics such as reliability, latency, throughput, and cost efficiency, and prepare reports on progress and risks.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in workflows, improving tooling, automation, and developer productivity.
- Support capacity planning and resource management to ensure infrastructure scales with model and product growth.
- Develop scalable frameworks and operational practices to improve execution quality across infrastructure projects.
- Advise leadership on prioritization, sequencing, and trade-offs in infrastructure investments.
- Serve as the main point of contact with AI cloud service providers and coordinate between internal engineering teams and external partners.
