As a Verification and Recovery Officer at Lendha, you will play a crucial role in supporting our collections and business development teams. Your primary responsibilities will include providing operational field support for loan and debt recovery, as well as verifying applicants to ensure a seamless lending process.
This position may involve collaboration with various departments. Key tasks include contacting clients via phone or in person, guiding customers on effective loan repayment strategies, preparing and monitoring reports, managing your own customer portfolio, and facilitating debt recovery when necessary.
- Conduct thorough verification of Lendha clients.
- Initiate demand processes and engage with defaulting customers while reviewing credit files for proper documentation and ongoing monitoring.
- Follow up on all assigned debtor accounts to ensure successful recoveries through calls, demand notices, or other suitable methods.
- Supervise Loan Officers to guarantee that loans booked are completely recovered.
- Manage and recover expired loans across all markets.
- Compile daily call memos and progress reports regarding negotiations with debtors concerning repayment of obligations.
- Engage in negotiations and meetings with customers seeking loan workout options such as refinancing, rescheduling, or restructuring.
- Prepare approval requests for management concerning negotiated settlements and ensure follow-up until the loan is fully settled and outstanding balances are written off.
- Develop and recommend strategies for all recovery efforts.
- Prioritize the resolution of outstanding legal and documentation issues within your assigned portfolio.
- Collaborate with external solicitors to ensure efficient handling of cases referred for legal action.
- Gather background information on all loans/customers assigned to the Recovery Team, particularly customer-related data.
- Maintain contact with major debtors to facilitate recoveries through various communication methods.
