Role Overview
The Business Development Representative will join the Germany Sales team, representing Groupon in Essen and the Ruhr metropolitan region. This area is a major economic center in Germany. The main responsibility is to grow Groupon’s marketplace by finding, engaging, and onboarding new local merchants. Key sectors include food and drink, health and beauty, wellness, leisure and experiences, and home and auto services.
Remote Field Sales Position
This is a 100% remote field sales role, focused on the Essen area. The position involves proactive outreach, in-person meetings, and managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure. Training and support come from both management and experienced team members. The role provides hands-on experience in consultative selling, territory management, and deal execution.

Ideal candidates are based in or near Essen.
Key Objective
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new local merchants in the Essen and Ruhr Main region. The goal is to successfully onboard at least three quality partners each week who meet Groupon’s profitability standards.
