Join our dedicated team at Amazing Athletes as a Community Service Instructor in our afterschool program at PS166! We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is committed to community engagement and can motivate students from grades K–5 to participate actively in service initiatives. Your role will involve planning and executing volunteer events such as local cleanups, food pantry collaborations, donation drives, and various service projects that cultivate empathy, teamwork, and civic responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and establish partnerships with local organizations including soup kitchens, shelters, food banks, community gardens, and cleanup initiatives.
- Develop an adaptable, engaging community service curriculum tailored for elementary students, featuring hands-on volunteering, reflection activities, and discussions centered on social impact.
- Manage logistics for off-site service projects, ensuring permissions, materials, and safety protocols are in place.
- Mentor students in organizing meaningful mini service projects they can share with their families.
- Exemplify a spirit of kindness, responsibility, and curiosity about the community and world around them.
- Communicate with local organizations to coordinate volunteer days and visits.
- Work collaboratively with administration to track student progress and uphold behavioral expectations.
- Maintain effective communication with management regarding student and program-related matters.
- Utilize company-wide digital platforms to handle administrative duties such as attendance and incident reporting.

Schedule:
- Day: Monday (part-time availability)
- Time: 2:40 PM - 5:00 PM
- Commitment for the entire 2025-26 school year starting September 4th.
