Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop schematics and detailed drawings from engineering sketches or mark-ups.
- Collect and analyze information necessary for design development while ensuring compliance with voltage separation standards.
- Model electrical components based on vendor submissions and electrical designs.
- Create comprehensive plan drawings and details for electrical deliverables.
- Utilize drawings and sketches to craft 3D models, ensuring accuracy in design.
- Conduct checks within 3D models to identify interferences and assess constructability.
- Route electrical cables in a 3D environment to formulate a cable schedule.
- Complete As-Built records by utilizing Request for Information (RFI) forms, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and red-line drawings from construction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in designing electrical systems with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
- Proficient in English at a mid to advanced level, with solid reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with the current version of NOM-001-SEDE.
- Hands-on experience with software tools including Navisworks, Microstation, SmartPlant 3D, SmartPlant Instrumentation, Dialux, and Sizer Cable Calculation.
- In-depth knowledge of specification requirements and electrical installation details for construction materials and equipment.
- Capable of designing duct banks, embedded conduits, cable trays, grounding, and lighting systems from initial concept through to completion based on engineering documents.
