About the job
Hello and thank you for your interest!
Are you on the lookout for an exciting new challenge, or simply exploring your options? You may have found the perfect opportunity!
We are seeking a Hardware Product Manager to take charge of and enhance our hospitality and retail hardware offerings, as well as the complete merchant experience (from selection to purchase, delivery, setup, operation, and replacement). Your goal will be to ensure that the right product forms are available, function reliably, and are delivered profitably across various regions.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the entire hospitality or retail hardware portfolio, managing everything from sales strategies to product evolution (launch, scaling, lifecycle management, and deprecation).
Establish a multi-quarter roadmap that aligns with our broader hardware strategy, managing dependencies and driving measurable outcomes.
Guide new initiatives through their complete lifecycle: from discovery to PRDs, vendor selection, validation/testing, launch, and ongoing support.
Engage with merchants (owners, managers, staff) to identify workflow pain points and convert insights into prioritized roadmap items.
Ensure supplier accountability regarding feature sets, quality, cost, and lead times, utilizing field signals (RMAs/tickets) to implement corrective actions.
Lead cross-functional teams in Product, Design, Hardware Operations, Support, GTM, Finance, and Legal to ensure smooth launches and enhance portfolio profitability.
Qualifications
5+ years experience as a Product Manager in a hardware or hardware-enabled SaaS context (devices, peripherals, accessories), with at least 1-2 successful end-to-end launches.
Proven track record of managing the complete hardware lifecycle: from discovery and requirements gathering to selection, testing, launch, iteration, and deprecation.
Hands-on experience with hospitality workflows: Payments, POS systems, Mobile POS, Kitchen Display Systems, Kiosks, and Networking.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams across Product, Design, Operations/Supply Chain, Support, and GTM.
Personal Attributes
Strong sense of ownership: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and assume responsibility in ambiguous situations.
Product intuition: Capable of leveraging merchant empathy and engagement to gain insights that inform product decisions.
