About the job
Rowspace is hiring a Business Operations Lead to work closely with the founders in New York City. This person will play a central role in shaping the company’s direction, working on a mix of strategy and hands-on execution. The position calls for someone who thrives on tackling complex challenges and can move from idea to action across go-to-market, product, and financial priorities.
The role covers a wide range of responsibilities: from building financial models and engaging with customers to identifying and solving team gaps. Success here means turning high-level goals into concrete results and collaborating across functions to keep the company moving forward.
What You Will Do
- Drive strategic initiatives from start to finish, including go-to-market plans, pricing models, and market segmentation efforts.
- Serve as the analytical partner to the founders by developing analyses and frameworks that guide major decisions.
- Gather and synthesize insights from customer feedback, pipeline data, and product usage to shape recommendations.
- Join customer-facing work, such as discovery calls, product demos, onboarding, and quarterly business reviews.
- Lead cross-functional projects that lack a clear owner, ensuring important work gets done.
- Support hiring and help build the Rowspace team as the company grows.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–7+ years of relevant experience, likely from management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or a high-growth startup, where solving complex problems was a core part of the job.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience building financial models, analyzing markets, and adjusting pricing strategies.
- Self-motivated and proactive; able to set priorities and focus on what matters most without close supervision.
- Clear and effective writing skills, with the ability to turn complex topics into straightforward memos or presentations.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and shifting quickly between different types of work, from competitive analysis to customer meetings to recruiting.
- Interest in the financial services sector and a desire to build deeper industry knowledge.
