Doula Role Overview
Pomelo Care is seeking doulas in Pennsylvania to guide and support families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Doulas play a key role in helping families feel informed, confident, and cared for during major life transitions. This is a 1099 independent contractor position. It does not include employee benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, workers’ compensation, or unemployment benefits. Pomelo Care assists with client matching, billing, and administrative tasks so doulas can focus on their practice.
How Pomelo Supports Doulas
- Streamlined Administration: Pomelo handles credentialing, billing, and insurance-related paperwork. Doulas receive prompt, reliable payment for services without the usual back-office workload.
- Client Outreach: Pomelo connects doulas with families seeking support, helping to grow each doula’s practice.
- Dedicated Assistance: Administrative and technical support is available for navigating Pomelo’s systems. Charting and documentation help is provided to keep workflows efficient.
- Peer Community: Doulas join a network of hundreds of peers for support, knowledge sharing, and networking within the Pomelo Doula community.
- Flexible Scheduling: Doulas set their own caseloads and schedules, maintaining full control over their availability and work-life balance.
