A completed degree in Business Administration or Communication Sciences, ideally with a focus on Marketing, or a comparable qualification. Several years of professional experience in performance or online marketing, whether in agencies, corporate marketing, or as a freelancer. Excellent knowledge of social advertising platforms (Meta Ads Manager and potentially others) as well as common tracking and reporting tools. Experience in independently planning, managing, and optimizing Paid Social campaigns. Creativity in handling editorial content and social media storytelling, along with a passion for journalistic products. Excellent command of German, both spoken and written, combined with analytical thinking and a strong capability for implementation.

About the role

  • As the Online Marketing Manager, you will take the lead in conceptualizing, implementing, and optimizing Paid Social campaigns for our Paid Content brands, BILDplus and WELTplus.
  • You will devise cross-channel social media strategies across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn, with a strong focus on performance metrics.
  • Your role involves creating innovative ad formats and content assets in close collaboration with editorial teams, design departments, and external partners.
  • Analyzing campaign performance will be key; you will derive actionable insights and execute changes independently, in coordination with the team.
  • You will manage the budget for your channels and steer KPIs based on data-driven decisions.
  • Bring your expertise in targeting, audience building, and A/B testing to further develop best practices for Paid Social.
  • Collaboration with colleagues from CRM, Product Management, and Analytics will ensure a unified marketing strategy.
  • When necessary, you will confidently manage external agencies and service providers.
