Role overview
The Social Media Manager will join the entertainment division to support a well-known gaming franchise. This position requires a strong understanding of gaming culture, competitive communities, and real-time social interaction. The manager will help define the brand’s voice and build an engaged community across multiple social platforms.
What you will do
- Oversee daily activity on social channels, maintaining consistency, quality, and active fan engagement.
- Develop and manage content calendars that balance scheduled posts with timely, real-time interactions.
- Create content tailored to each platform, reflecting gaming culture, trends, and community behaviors.
- Write engaging copy that matches the brand’s tone and resonates with dedicated fans.
- Interact directly with the community by replying, moderating comments, and encouraging conversation.
- Track social trends, gaming news, and the competitive landscape to adapt content and engagement strategies.
- Collaborate with creative, strategy, and partnership teams to execute campaigns.
- Support live events, announcements, and drops with real-time publishing and community engagement.
- Monitor performance and contribute insights and recommendations to reports.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of social media experience, preferably in an agency setting.
- Strong knowledge of gaming culture, especially competitive or well-established franchises and their communities.
- Proven ability to engage audiences through creative content and thoughtful community management.
