Veterinary Receptionist – Bay Ridge Animal Hospital

Role Overview
Bay Ridge Animal Hospital and Annapolis Cat Hospital seek a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to greet clients and their pets, manage the front desk, and help create a welcoming environment. This position is central to the client experience, providing support from the moment clients arrive through check-out and follow-up. The role suits someone who enjoys customer service and cares deeply about animal well-being.

Compensation
Hourly rate: $16 – $19, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
Schedule
- Full-time: four 10-hour shifts per week
- Two early shifts (8:00 AM–6:00 PM)
- Two late shifts (10:00 AM–8:00 PM)
- Rotating Saturday mornings
- Occasional 8 AM to 8 PM shifts
What You Will Do
- Greet clients and pets, check in appointments, verify details, and direct to exam rooms
- Process payments, ensure accurate billing, and schedule follow-up visits
- Answer client questions by phone regarding appointments, services, medication refills, and make follow-up calls
- Use basic knowledge of vaccination protocols, common lab tests, veterinary terms, and pet behavior
- Help keep the reception area clean and organized
Qualifications
- At least one year of experience as a veterinary receptionist
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Professional, calm, and positive communication style
