Qualifications

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, a Power Systems Electrician Journeyman Ticket, or an Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma from a recognized institution. Over 4 years of experience leading a commissioning team within the electrical utilities sector. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software suite and strong computer skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong analytical, risk assessment, and problem-solving abilities. Willingness to work for extended periods away from home. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Successful completion of background checks and Drug and Alcohol Pre-Access Testing is required for employment.

We are currently on the lookout for a dedicated Lead Commissioning Engineer / Commissioning Manager to become a key member of our field services team on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team in testing and commissioning power system protection and control schemes across utility, power generation, and oil & gas sectors.
  • Interpret technical drawings and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Supervise direct reports and assign tasks efficiently.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports.
  • Contribute to the development of commissioning startup procedures and work instructions.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety practices according to corporate, client, and industry standards.
  • Engage with customers to address inquiries, discuss troubleshooting details, and confirm resolutions.
