Position Overview

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will play a vital role in supporting the development, optimization, and documentation of metal fabrication and assembly processes at our Jacksonville facility. Under the mentorship of senior engineers, this position focuses on enhancing production efficiency, upholding quality standards, and contributing to engineering projects that aim to elevate our manufacturing operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Process Support and Improvement:
  • Assist in optimizing metal fabrication and assembly processes to ensure adherence to quality and efficiency benchmarks.
  • Support the creation and revision of work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to promote consistent production practices.
  • Conduct time studies and develop routings as necessary to establish standard work times and enhance production planning.

 

  1. Documentation and Quality Assurance:
  • Maintain precise and current documentation of manufacturing processes, including work instructions and process flow diagrams.
  • Support quality assurance initiatives by monitoring production processes and engaging in root cause analysis for any defects or issues.

 

  1. Project Assistance:
  • Contribute to the execution of engineering projects including process validations, capacity analysis, and production trials under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assist in coordinating project tasks, preparing technical reports, and documentation as required.
