Qualifications
Your Role:As a Mechanical Engineer, you will spearhead the design and development of hardware for Helion’s fusion devices. This role requires you to tackle intricate, interdisciplinary engineering challenges vital for scaling fusion energy deployment. You will work closely with a team of engineers and technicians, contributing to the dynamic culture of a rapidly evolving team. This position reports directly to the Mechanical Engineering Manager and is based onsite at our Everett, WA facility. Key Responsibilities:Lead and enhance subsystem designs, including electromagnetic, structural, fluid, thermal, and control systems. Utilize insights from past engineering methodologies to innovate novel hardware for testing and integration into Helion’s fusion devices. Design hardware utilizing CAD software such as NX or SolidWorks. Conduct analyses using tools like ANSYS, and drive design reviews to incorporate feedback and refine systems. Expand your engineering expertise and knowledge by collaborating with industry experts. Engage hands-on with skilled technicians to construct and implement hardware designs. Diagnose and resolve hardware issues on integrated fusion generators as they occur.
