The Sales Development Team Lead plays a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring our Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) in effective cold prospecting, managing qualified leads, and conducting strategic follow-ups. This dual-role position combines direct sales activities with leadership responsibilities, ensuring that SDRs are empowered to excel in their roles and advance within the company.
Key Responsibilities
Individual Contributions:
- Conduct approximately 45 outbound calls daily to secure appointments for our Account Executives focused on pre-employment services.
- Execute around 45 outreach touchpoints via social media and email each day to foster relationships for future sales opportunities.
- Establish 8-10 appointments monthly for the Account Executives.
- Initiate communication through diverse channels including email, LinkedIn, Vidyard, and phone calls to create rapport with potential clients.
- Perform thorough research on prospective clients and engage in pre-call planning.
- Manage the sales pipeline using Salesforce CRM.
- Educate and develop prospects until they are ready for hand-off to the Account Executive team.
- Drive attendance for webinars and live seminars, and set meetings for conferences.
- Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to refine strategic sales methodologies.
- Ensure accurate tracking of sales activities and lead qualification within the CRM application.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Facilitate daily stand-up meetings with SDRs to outline daily objectives and provide updates and training.
- Conduct regular reviews with sales leadership to assess the SDR team's achievements and challenges.
- Offer coaching and support to maximize SDR performance.
- Ensure adherence to company policies while overseeing the daily functions and performance of the sales team.
- Verify that SDRs effectively utilize sales technologies such as CRM and LinkedIn.
- Conduct quality assurance assessments for outbound calls, discoveries, and demos.
- Respond to inquiries from agents and prospects as necessary.
- Maintain a deep understanding of our ideal customers and how they relate to our products.
- Communicate monthly with the Sales Manager regarding the SDR team's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
- Achieve performance metrics tailored to the managerial role.
