About the job
Join Amazon RIVR, a trailblazer in Physical AI, transforming last-mile delivery with cutting-edge robotics. Established in 2024 as an ETH Zurich spinoff, we have engineered innovative wheeled-legged robots adept at navigating challenging environments, including stairs and uneven urban landscapes. Our mission is to unlock general physical intelligence by addressing real-world challenges, enabling our robots to learn from vast operational data.
Since our acquisition by Amazon in March 2026, we have accelerated our vision, leveraging advanced robot hardware, onboard autonomy, and cloud coordination to create safe and efficient autonomous delivery solutions.
Job Overview
As a Senior Electronics Engineer on our Zurich R&D team, you will be the driving force behind the 'muscle' of our robots. Your key responsibilities will include designing, prototyping, and validating bespoke motor controllers and power electronics that push the boundaries of actuator performance. Your leadership in developing high-power-density PCBAs will be crucial in achieving our objective of compact and agile robotic systems without compromising torque or reliability.
You will operate at the dynamic intersection of physics and firmware, creating high-performance hardware that empowers our robots to excel in last-mile challenges. This position offers a unique chance to oversee the hardware architecture of one of the most sophisticated legged-on-wheels platforms, bridging theoretical control logic with production-ready intelligence.
