We are looking for a highly accomplished Senior Motion Planning Engineer to join our innovative team. In this pivotal role, you will design and refine motion planning algorithms for our high-degree-of-freedom (DOF) mobile manipulator, Pixmo. You'll keep abreast of cutting-edge research and advancements in robotic motion planning, rigorously test and evaluate existing algorithms, establish robust software development practices, and mentor our junior developers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and enhance real-time motion planning algorithms for high-DOF mobile manipulators to create collision-free, smooth, and time-optimized trajectories.
- Collaborate on integrating motion planning with perception, control, and hardware within a production environment.
- Contribute to architectural decisions ensuring alignment with system requirements and planning efficacy.
- Research and evaluate modern motion planning techniques to guide implementation choices.
- Uphold high standards of software development practices and mentor junior developers.
