Role Overview
As a Senior Professional Services Engineer at GitLab, you will engage directly with customers to provide installation, migration, training, and advisory services that facilitate the successful adoption of GitLab. You will lead projects ranging from single-node Omnibus installations to comprehensive reference architectures utilizing infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration as code. Additionally, you will guide migrations from other platforms to GitLab SaaS or self-hosted deployments, assisting customers in making informed decisions that enhance reliability, security, and operational workflows.
Your role will involve close collaboration with customers and GitLab’s product and engineering teams to drive customer success and relay feedback to enhance our offerings and service delivery. You will manage multiple projects concurrently, mentor fellow Professional Services Engineers, and optimize our approach to delivering consistent outcomes in a predominantly remote and asynchronous work environment.
Some examples of our projects include:
- Designing and implementing GitLab installations and reference architectures using tools such as Terraform and Ansible across major cloud providers.
- Leading migrations to GitLab SaaS or self-managed deployments.
