Join High Tech High!

Founded in 2000 by a coalition of San Diego civic leaders and educators, High Tech High began as a small public charter school dedicated to serving approximately 450 students. Over the years, it has transformed into a dynamic network of sixteen charter schools, catering to around 6,350 students from grades K-12 across four campuses. Located in the vibrant San Diego County, High Tech High is driven by four interconnected design principles: equity, personalization, authentic work, and collaborative design. These principles guide our mission and create a supportive environment for both educators and students. If you share our passion for education and are motivated by these ideals, we warmly invite you to become part of our team!

As a Special Education Academic Coach I, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students within the classroom and facilitating both small group and individual instruction. Your expertise will ensure that students with diverse learning needs have access to the general education curriculum, maintaining our essential low student-teacher ratio and providing the individualized attention necessary for their success.

Key Responsibilities:

● Support the instruction and supervision of students with learning differences
● Facilitate tutorial activities for individual or small groups of students facing learning challenges
● Monitor student progress and provide feedback for evaluations and parent meetings as requested
● Build rapport and establish meaningful relationships with assigned students to enhance their behavior, educational performance, and social skills
● Perform clerical tasks including typing, documentation, and correspondence, which may involve note-taking for students

About High Tech High
