Contentful is seeking an experienced Technical Writing Manager to lead our documentation strategy from inception to execution, enhancing the quality, consistency, and discoverability of our technical content. In this pivotal role, you will design processes and frameworks, streamline workflows, coordinate localization initiatives for our product's UI and documentation, and contribute to building an exceptional knowledge base for developers, marketers, and authors.

What to Expect?
As the Technical Writing Manager, you will oversee a dedicated team of Technical Writers, ensuring our documentation meets high standards while fostering a passion for improving localization:
Drive High-Quality Documentation
- Lead and mentor a team of Technical Writers.
- Develop a comprehensive documentation strategy encompassing processes, tools, delivery frameworks, and customer feedback loops for ongoing enhancement.
- Conduct regular evaluations and provide guidance to help writers evolve and maximize their customer impact.
- Create industry-leading technical content, including API documentation, release notes, how-to guides, and FAQs.
- Review, test, and edit contributions from non-writing team members.
- Identify gaps in Contentful’s knowledge base and collaborate cross-functionally to address them.
- Work alongside product managers, engineers, designers, and customer-facing teams to develop content as needed.
- Enhance the Help Center to make Contentful more accessible to developers, marketers, and editors.
- Establish repeatable checklists and process checkpoints for successful documentation releases.
- Build mechanisms for collecting customer feedback to guide documentation improvements.
Own Localization
- Serve as the subject-matter expert on product UI and documentation localization, leading efforts to ensure our product is accessible to a global audience.
- Drive and implement the localization strategy for our product UI and documentation.

- Proven experience in technical writing and managing teams.
- Strong understanding of documentation best practices and localization processes.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
