The Shift Technical Advisor will provide essential technical expertise, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the approved safety basis for facility operations and assessing the impact of proposed modifications on operational safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary support member for the Operations Manager and Shift Manager, ensuring daily operations are conducted safely and effectively, in line with approved procedures.
  • Collaborate with supporting organizations to comprehend planned operations, ensuring compliance with the facility's safety basis and authorized work.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and implement improvement activities for emerging operational issues to enhance compliance effectiveness.
  • Assume a project management role for coordinating large-scale activities across multiple organizational interfaces as needed.
  • Deliver technical briefings and presentations that elucidate approved facility operations and compliance implementation strategies.
  • Evaluate proposed modifications or changes in accordance with the Documented Safety Analysis via the Unreviewed Safety Question process.
  • Determine processes to ensure proposed changes align with facility scope and methods.
  • Provide on-call weekend coverage as per a rotational schedule, with potential weekend work required.
