Qualifications

Genuine passion for supporting children with autism. Patience, compassion, and strong teamwork skills. Must be 18 years or older. High school diploma or GED required. Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification, as well as a Tuberculosis test within the last year. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check. Physical ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.). Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must obtain Registered Behavior Technician Certification upon completing onboarding.

Join our dedicated team at Centria Autism as a Behavior Technician and play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of children with autism. In this rewarding position, you will work closely with children, implementing customized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will employ evidence-based strategies to teach vital communication, social, and daily living skills while minimizing challenging behaviors.

Comprehensive training will be provided, ensuring you feel confident in your ability to support each child, regardless of your prior experience. Please note, this role requires physical stamina, as children can be unpredictable and require active engagement. You must be comfortable with standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and sometimes carrying children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
